Cavernoma.com is owned and managed by Doris.
Doris is Austrian and 30 years old. For many years, Doris has lived and worked in the UK. In recent years Doris worked as a technical professional for IBM, the multinational computer giant.
In December 2003, Doris returned home to Austria to spend Christmas with her family. On Christmas Eve, she was taken ill and admitted to hospital. A brainstem cavernoma was diagnosed shortly afterwards.
Doris was transferred to the University Medical Centre in Marburg, Germany where she underwent an operation to remove the carvernoma. The operation was completely successful.
In March 2004, some friends visited Doris in hospital in Marburg. It was during this visit that the idea for a Cavernoma Patient Forum came about.
After several months work, Cavernoma.com has now been published it on the Internet. The following people have contributed to the design of the website and with the translation of the webpages:
